Fall Maroon Bells Elopement near Aspen, Colorado

Alyssa and MacKenzie’s Maroon Bells Elopement near Aspen, Colorado

Alyssa and MacKenzie’s Maroon Bells elopement near Aspen, Colorado was a truly one-of-a-kind and true-to-them experience. Eloping is a beautiful and intimate way to start your journey as a married couple because of how much you’re able to customize it to reflect your relationship and love for one another – and these two took that to the next level with pizza and tattoos.

For their elopement in Maroon Bells, I loved that Alyssa wore hiking boots under her flowy white a-line dress and MacKenzie wore a colorful tie that popped even more surrounded by the vibrant fall colors.

The late-September landscape of western Colorado near Maroon Bells provided the perfect setting for their ceremony! As they exchanged vows, they were surrounded by large boulders and the breathtaking colors of autumn. Throughout their ceremony, Alyssa and MacKenzie were all smiles and in complete bliss to be finally getting married to one another on a day that had been months in the making. After saying their vows, in true elopement fashion, their marriage license was signed on top of a Yeti cooler in the back of their Jeep. This way of couples signing marriage licenses on top of coolers has become a staple of elopements and I love it – Yeti sponsor us, please?!

After their ceremony, Alyssa and MacKenzie adventured to the next destination to continue their Maroon Bells elopement on the trails surrounding the Maroon Bells Amphitheater and Maroon Lake. Vibrant yellow Aspen trees lined the trails and were nestled in the distance creating the most magical fall atmosphere. To top it all off, they were treated with a breathtaking pink sunset!

But this couple’s day was not over yet! After their adventures, they decided to do something unique and we made our way to Carbondale where they picked up a pizza from Peppino’s Pizza and then headed to Bonedale Tattoo. For their tattoos marking this special occasion, they each hand-drew hearts – Alyssa got the heart MacKenzie drew and vice versa. This was such a unique way to celebrate their new beginning as husband and wife and I loved the handwritten design as a special touch.
