Intimate Fall Glacier National Park Wedding

Jordan and Chelsea’s Intimate Fall Glacier National Park Wedding

From the moment I got Jordan and Chelsea’s inquiry, I felt connected with their vision for their Glacier National Park wedding day and who they are as a couple. My favorite part of their email was when they said, “we are just two happy gay gals who can’t wait to start exploring this world and sharing those adventures together.” Consider my heart absolutely melted. Then talking during our info call together, it was filled with laughter and felt way more like reconnecting with friends even though we had just met. The rest of the story of their Glacier National Park wedding was filled with as much excitement and magic as those first interactions and I’m excited to be sharing their story with you!

Review from Jordan
Canceling our big wedding was a hard decision but choosing Jessica as our elopement gal was an easy one!! The second I landed on her page, I KNEW she was the one. First off, her work is absolutely breathtaking. Those stunning pictures weren’t the only reason we fell in love. As a same-sex couple, finding someone who is just as excited about our love as we are was important. Her page screams that she loves love, no matter who you are <3

Let me tell you – this wonderful human knows her stuff!! We had never been to GNP, so having her expert knowledge of the land was so calming. She did everything to make our day perfect – she’s ready for anything that comes her way. Due to the weather, we had to adjust our whole plan (that we had planned for months) the night before our wedding. Jessica quickly curated a day that was, honestly, much more spectacular than what we originally envisioned. I don’t typically do well when things don’t go as planned. Jessica made us feel so calm that we truly didn’t care what our day would bring! I knew she would make it magical, no matter what – and she did <3

Jessica truly feels like a new friend. If you are looking for an exciting, intimate, and magical experience with a spectacular person, book her NOW!!

Planning Their Wedding in Glacier National Park

When I asked these two why they chose to have a more intimate wedding in Glacier rather than a big celebration, they noted they were “straight up not having a good time with planning” and BOY do I know so many couples who are considering eloping can relate to that! When you’re planning a Glacier National Park wedding, of course, there will be some stress at times because it’s an important day but for the most part, planning will feel like an exciting experience of mapping out your best day ever and a vacation in a stunning place.

As their day approached and I was looking at the forecast for their sunrise elopement with loved ones, substantial rain seemed inevitable so we chatted on the phone and I quickly came up with an alternate plan to adjust to the west side of the park and avoid the rain and I’ve gotta say, with how magical their day turned out, you would have never known it wasn’t our first plan!

Situations like this are one of the many reasons why it’s so crucial to have a glacier national park photographer who is experienced so that planning not only becomes less stressful, but also so that if/when situations arise where you have to make adjustments, it can be done effortlessly!

Jordan and Chelsea’s Magical Glacier National Park Wedding Day

Fall is hands down my favorite time to capture Glacier National Park weddings – the colorful leaves are captivating and I always love the moody weather that it brings. These two were in for an absolute treat, though, and got the best of both worlds with both sunshine and cloud cover on their day! We began with getting ready at a picnic area in Apgar and their first look along the shore of Lake McDonald. My favorite part of this moment was that Jordan was so captivated by seeing Chelsea for the first time and being in that moment together that she didn’t even see the beautiful views they were surrounded by – and then her jaw was on the floor all over again once she turned around. Yeah, I was definitely wiping away tears from behind the camera.

Following this emotion-filled moment, we joined their loved ones for their wedding ceremony just outside of the park in West Glacier just as the sun peaked out from behind the clouds. Their friend conducted a beautiful ceremony and pronounced them as wives (finally!) and then they celebrated with breakfast treats and mimosas from Fleur Bakery in Whitefish. After some photos with everyone at another nearby park, the three of us ventured up the Going to the Sun Road for them to experience Logan Pass for the first time! Jordan was dreaming of moody clouds for their photos and as soon as we began our journey up the road – we got the iconic fall weather of her dreams.

After exploring around the Logan Pass area of Glacier, we ventured back down to Lake McDonald to watch the sun set. You never know what you’ll get with a cloudy sunset, but the light peaked through the clouds and lit up bits and pieces of the mountains a beautiful red and orange color.

Although it wasn’t the day we had originally planned, the experience ended up being absolutely magical and filled with ear-to-ear smiles and adventure!
