Intimate Glacier Raft Company Wedding in West Glacier

Taylor and Matthew’s Wedding at Glacier Raft Company in West Glacier

When Taylor and Matthew first reached out to me about getting married in Glacier National Park with their family and friends, I knew that a wedding at Glacier Raft Company would be perfect for them to get those beautiful mountain views and accommodate all of their family members.

This venue has affordable weekday ceremony options for couples looking to have a ceremony followed by a quick reception with loved ones – which is perfect for those wanting views of Glacier without the stress of parking, getting everyone in the park, etc.

Getting Ready near Lake Blaine

Taylor got ready for her wedding day separate from Matthew with the help of her mom and maid of honor at their breathtaking Airbnb near Lake Blaine, a town just outside of Kalispell. I loved all of the natural light and the mountain views just outside of the window for the getting ready photos and first look with her dad.

Ceremony at Glacier Raft Company’s Wedding Venue

Some smoke blew in the day of their day at Glacier Raft Company’s wedding venue but mostly cleared in time for their ceremony so they had beautiful views of Glacier National Park behind them for their ceremony. Taylor’s grandad officiated their ceremony and had the sweetest reaction to their first kiss – you must scroll to see!

Following their ceremony, they had a mini-reception with champagne toasts and yummy snacks, including huckleberry BBQ meatballs, before we headed into the park for sunset!

Wedding Vows and Portraits in Glacier National Park

The two of them really wanted to exchange vows privately with one another rather than with all of their guests and opted to do so at a beautiful spot in Glacier National Park near Logan Pass. We then had the best time taking photos around the area as the sun went down and then went to Lake McDonald on our way out of Glacier National Park to take advantage of the last bit of light for photos and to skip rocks in the water.

Planning Your Wedding near Glacier National Park

If you’re looking to get married in Glacier National Park with more than 15-20 people, I highly recommend finding a venue outside of the park. There are very limited locations within the park that can accommodate more guests than that and parking will almost always be limited! You can always go into the park after your ceremony or have a day-after session dressed up all over again in the park once you’re done celebrating for a day with family!
