Alissa and Cody’s Colorado Elopement
Alissa and Cody’s Colorado elopement day began at sunrise just outside of Breckenridge at Loveland Pass.
If you’re thinking of having your family join your Colorado elopement day – it’s definitely worth considering a day with a morning ceremony that starts with a sunrise first look! Although setting an early alarm can feel a bit daunting, you can’t beat the intimacy of sunrise and the lower crowds that it brings, especially in more popular locations in Colorado.
When I was helping Alissa and Cody plan their Colorado elopement day, we were instantly drawn to the beautiful views that Loveland Pass had for their first look. It was a beyond beautiful spot to start their elopement day and we were so excited to have clear skies and embraced the crisp morning air with a few warm-up breaks in the car.
At the beginning of the planning process, I almost always get asked how first looks are able to happen on elopement days. For this first look, Cody was a total trooper and rode in the car with a blindfold on with Alissa in the front seat to make that first moment of seeing her all the more special. It was beautiful to capture and I loved stepping back and letting them have the moment of seeing each other, embracing, and taking in the beautiful scenery together.
I hope you enjoy seeing a glimpse of the start of their elopement day at Loveland Pass near Breckenridge, Colorado! In the coming week’s I’ll be uploading another blog post showing their beautiful ceremony with family and I’m so excited for you to see it.
