Flathead Lake Intimate Wedding | Tyler and Paige

This will be a two-part blog post starting with Tyler and Paige’s intimate wedding with their closest family and friends at Amen Ranch overlooking Flathead Lake in Montana followed by a post of their after-wedding adventure to Glacier National Park where they exchanged private vows and enjoyed the sunset!

I loved that they had the entire property to themselves for a week to really soak in time in Montana and time with their family in such a breathtaking and relaxing location in the Flathead Valley. It took me back to when I was younger and my family would rent a big beach house together and we would spend a week in the Outerbanks – this same thing is such a fantastic idea for small destination weddings to make the most of everyone coming together!

The Story of their Intimate Wedding near Flathead Lake

Tyler and Paige did a more casual first look in the house where she got ready at Amen Ranch and then they walked together to their ceremony spot where their friends and family were waiting for them. Their ceremony took place in the shade on a hill at Amen Ranch that overlooked Flathead Lake and gave a beautiful view of the lake and the mountains in the distance! One of their longtime friends officiated their wedding and he put together a fantastic ceremony for these two. I loved taking a moment after the ceremony before all of the family photos to get some beautiful group shots for them to remember everyone who was able to make it to their wedding, the beautiful views, and just their overall happiness at being husband and wife!

After the ceremony, we took a group photo with the two of them in the foreground and all of the guests cheering in the background and it was an absolute favorite of mine. It was such a fun way to commemorate everyone who came to celebrate them!

While their family went to set up for dinner, we took a few minutes to take some photos at their ceremony spot before heading to a beautiful fenced-line path leading to a barn at Amen Ranch. I just cannot get over those mountain views and how their spot overlooked Flathead Lake! What an absolute dream! Then we headed to their reception for toasts, barbecue, and cake with their family and friends.

Before everyone began to eat, I got a quick picture of the inside of the dinner area – I feel like it truly doesn’t get more Montana than having a ton of taxidermy on the walls, a canoe hung from the ceiling, and beautiful photos on the wall! I also got some photos around the venue so they could remember the place they stayed during their wedding visit to Montana.

The purples and yellows of their wedding cake were absolutely stunning and everyone was raving about how delicious it was.
