Madison and Zach’s session in Glacier National Park had me excited from day 1 when she inquired with me through my website. They had just moved to Montana from Pennsylvania and knew from the start that photos in Glacier National Park were a must since they loved the mountains and outdoors so much and had already fallen in love just from seeing photos!
During their session we had my dream weather – that’s right, I am utterly and shamelessly obsessed with moody vibes and low clouds. I feel like it makes the colors so deep and the windy weather just brings the fire for photos!
We started at one of my favorite spots along Going to the Sun Road that blooms beautiful beargrass in early July, but come August when their session took place there were stunning purple/pink flowers called Fireweed as far as the eye could see! I was squealing out of excitement while capturing photos of them all snuggled up with one another surrounded by these beautiful flowers.
After we’d soaked up all of the beautiful views from that spot, we continued along the road to another favorite spot of mine at the start of the Highline Trail at Logan Pass. The views from this spot are so epic, but the cloud cover made the colors pop so much more than they would on a sunny day. I can’t get over how small Glacier National Park can make you feel, which is why I always try to take some photos further away to really show the scale!
The entire session, we were essentially running from impending rain clouds. To top off all of the windy, moody vibes Glacier had thrown our way so far – we finished the session at Sun Point near Saint Mary! Y’all – this spot is known for the crazy winds and it did not disappoint at all.
It was a blast tagging along with Madison and Zach to capture them exploring and loving on each other in Glacier National Park. To say it’s near impossible to choose a favorite is an understatement. After their session, Madison left the below review that I simply couldn’t resist sharing!
“Jessica is so talented behind the camera! She’s so fun and personable and immediately erased all fears of having an awkward session the second we met her! The fact that she loves to travel to Glacier is every adventurer’s dream. She knew all the perfect spots and was able to give us some awesome hike recommendations! I will forever cherish the photos she captured.” – Madison G.
