Maggie and Josh came to Glacier National Park all the way from Florida and had an absolute blast celebrating Maggie’s birthday by hiking anywhere and everywhere in the park. They spent their time exploring beautiful locations, such as Iceberg Lake and Swiftcurrent Pass, and it was fun to exchange stories of our favorite hikes during their session! They also did my favorite hike ever, Grinnell Glacier – definitely a little more challenging but beyond rewarding.

Location #1: Field in Many Glacier, Glacier National Park

Holy moly – Many Glacier gave us the most amazing weather and setting for their photos! This area of the park is by far my favorite because it’s got such a diverse, epic landscape that you seriously can’t go wrong in. We started the session in a lush field with mountains towering over them and we had a blast frolicking, as I call it, through the grass and wildflowers.

My favorite thing to do during sessions is to get a variety of compositions like above! I want you to see those epic landscapes, get a little closer to see your faces more, and then even closer to see the pretty details (like how you hold hands). I feel like it helps tell couples stories so much more and really lets you see all of the little details you might not notice.

Location #2: Swiftcurrent Falls, Many Glacier, Glacier National Park

Next, we headed right down the road to Swiftcurrent Falls! This is one of those spots in the park that is so awe-inspiring and the views always leave me picking my jaw up from the ground.

I mean, SUCH epic views, especially for a roadside-style adventure! I love the evening sunlight here and watching it slowly sink behind the mountain. These two were so up for exploring everywhere and adventuring around this spot in particular with them was a blast.

Last, but certainly not least, we soaked up the beautiful last bit of light at Swiftcurrent Lake. I love how blue the mountains got once the sun went down and getting to capture these two along the shore with such an epic view in the background.

So thankful for this July evening spent capturing Maggie & Josh’s love in Glacier National Park – and what a perfect way for them to remember their trip for years to come!

The Many Glacier area beyond perfect for couples and engagement sessions in Glacier National Park. I love that there are endless possibilities for couples who want to hike and those who prefer walking from the car!
